Saturday June 20th – Intro to Barn Hunt Seminar

Barn Hunt is a relatively new dog sporting event – dogs learn to find rats by scent in an obstacle course made of straw bales, simulating a real hunting environment on a farm. No prior skills or training are required to participate!! This will be an introductory seminar, perfect for dogs and owners with no previous experience in the sport.

The seminar will consist of a presentation from 9:30-11:30 AM on how Barn Hunt works – including rules, how to register your dog for trials, etc. We will have a lunch break from 11:30-12:30 (lunch provided), followed by short working spots for dogs to give things a try!

The seminar is free for anyone to come and observe, working spots (5-10 minutes each) will be $10 per dog if you want to try things out. Our presenter will be Chris Puls, an experienced Barn Hunt judge and founder of the Southeast Indiana Barn Hunt Club.

Please RSVP (call or email with your name and email address) if you’re planning to attend – that way, we can get an accurate head count for lunch. Feel free to call or email with any questions!
